Old Hampton Plantation

"3 nights in hell" comes to stone's throw

From the Stone's Throw Gazette:

Famed television show, “3 Nights in Hell” is coming to Stone’s Throw and it's being filmed at the Old Hampton Plantation. The Old Hampton Plantation is one of the most haunted places in the world. It gained its fame and notoriety from Francine Abebe, the Crybaby Bridge ghost.

For those of you that have been living under a rock and don’t what this show is about, we’ll give you a brief breakdown. The show first gained notoriety in Europe but has since come to the United States. The concept of the show is to get three contestants to spend three nights in one of the most haunted places in the country. If a contestant makes it all the way through the third night, then they’ll win $5,000,000.

This will be the show’s fifteenth year in existence and so far, only three people have ever won. The show was started in Europe fifteen years ago by Mr. Eric Von Sutton. After a successful ten-year run, and only three contestants winning, Mr. Von Sutton brought the show to the U.S. five years ago. He partnered with Ms. Janet Sanders, of JanSan corporation, for the U.S. version.

So far, no one has won the $5,000,000 grand prize in the U.S. Will one of our local contestants be the first? Let’s meet the local contestants.

Justin Johnson: 18-year-old recent graduate of Stone’s Throw High School. Justin originally won a spot on the show with his best friend Junior Fields. However, tragedy struck, and Junior was gunned down in a drive-by shooting.

David Hampton: 20-year-old grandson of Frank Hampton, the owner of the property. David said he’d like to prove to people that his family’s home is not haunted.

Ralph Simmons: 22-year-old best friend of David Hampton. Ralph remembers spending many years at the Hampton’s house as a child. He believes that him and David can be the first to win the U.S. prize.

It will be interesting to see if one of these young contestants can last “3 Nights in Hell”.
